Agender A person with no gender identity.
Aromantic A person who experiences little to no romantic attraction to others.
Asexual A person whose experiences little to no sexual attraction to others.
Bi+ A person who has the capacity to form enduring physical, romantic, or emotional connections to someone of the same gender or someone of another gender.
Biphobia Discomfort, hatred, or discrimination against people attracted to more than one gender.
Cisgender (Cis) A person whose gender identity aligns with the sex they were assigned as birth
Cissexism Assumption that all people are cisgender; a form of transphobia or discrimination
Gay A person whose physical, romantic, and emotional attractions are of the same gender
Femme A person who self-identifies as feminine.
Gender Binary Socially-enforced concept that there are only two possible genders.
Gender Identity Firmly held sense of gender; Internal manifestation.
Gender Expression Firmly held sense of gender; External manifestation through name, pronouns, appearance, behavior, body characteristics
Gender Nonconforming (GNC) A person who identifies outside of the male-female gender binary system. Some GNC people identify as transgender.
Homophobia Discomfort, hatred, or discrimination against people attracted to the same gender.
Intersex A person whose chromosomes, hormones, or sex organs differ from traditional "male" or "female"
Lesbian A transgender or cisgender woman experiencing physical, romantic, or emotional attraction to another trans or cis woman.
QPOC/QWOC A queer person (QPOC) or woman (QWOC) whose sexual and racial identities intersect.
Queer A person whose particular sexual orientation is not exclusively heterosexual.
TPOC/TWOC A trans person (TPOC) or woman (TWOC) whose gender and racial identities intersect.
Transgender (Trans) Describing a person whose gender identity does not align with the sex they were assigned at birth; can be used as an umbrella term for anyone who does not identity as cisgender.
Transphobia Discomfort, hatred, or discrimination against transgender people.
Two-Spirit A person of Native-American culture who identifies with more than one gender.
