The National LGBTQ+ Youth Town Hall is currently seeking applicants for part time Assistant Coordinator and Internship positions based remotely in the Northeast United States. The Assistant Coordinator and Interns will assist Coordinator with project-oriented assignments and preparation for the Town Hall in October.  Undergraduate and graduate students interested in LGBTQ+ issues, gender equity, and politics are encouraged to apply. Strong writing abilities preferred.

Assistant Coordinator

The Assistant Project Coordinator works directly with the Executive Director/Coordinator to prepare for and execute the National LGBTQ+ Youth Town Hall event in October 2018. 

This position receives a $500.00 stipend and travel expenses. Skills and projects overseen may be added to resumé. Assistant Coordinator works 2 hr/wk remotely and must have access to a computer and Skype.

Ideal candidates are exceptional undergraduate or graduate students interested in LGBTQ+ issues, gender equity, and politics. 

Assistant Coordinator must be available to attend the National LGBTQ+ Youth Town Hall in September, 2018 in New York City and (1) training meeting in New York City in July, 2018.

Press Intern

Press Interns will have the opportunity to expand their media knowledge by drafting and editing press releases,  messaging development, video and audio production, drafting and pitching potential stories, monitoring social media, editing, and media outreach.  

Ideal candidates are undergraduate or graduate students interested in LGBTQ+ issues, gender equity, and politics. 

This is an unpaid position. Skills and projects overseen may be added to resumé. Interns work remotely and must have access to a computer and Skype. 

Interns must be available to attend the National LGBTQ+ Youth Town Hall in September, 2018 in New York City and (1) training meeting in New York City in July, 2018.

Outreach Intern

Outreach Interns will have the opportunity to expand their development and fundraising skills to help grow the outreach audience for the upcoming National LGBTQ+ Youth Town Hall. Responsibilities vary by project but will include: online fundraising, writing and editing, social media management, and sponsor outreach. 

Ideal candidates are undergraduate or graduate students interested in LGBTQ+ issues, gender equity, and politics.
